What is tokenized SPYM?
A token that tracks the price of SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF shares. You don't own the shares themselves:
the issuer owes you their value on its own terms.
Tokenized SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF (SPYM) provides onchain exposure
to the underlying exchange-traded fund. The issued asset token is a claim against
S01 Issuer GmbH on the terms set out in its base prospectus; holders are unsecured
contractual creditors of the Issuer. On The River it trades as
wtSPYM, a vault wrapper whose exchange
rate to the issued token can change over time.
SPYM token questions
- Can I trade SPYM outside US market hours?
- Yes, when someone is offering a trade. The orderbook has prices during US market hours; outside them trades go through onchain pools, and the site tells you when nobody is offering one. Limit orders and strategies wait onchain as your own orders, can fill when the market comes back if the price reaches them, and you can cancel them any time.
- What does it cost to trade SPYM here?
- A trade compares the orderbook and onchain pools and takes the cheaper, fee included. The River charges 0.10% on orderbook fills on Base and on trades routed through KyberSwap, shown before you sign, plus network gas. Trades routed through LI.FI, orderbook fills on Robinhood Chain, and your own limit orders and strategies have no River fee.
- Who can hold SPYM tokens?
- S01 Issuer GmbH's prospectus sets who may hold wtSPYM, and the ticket shows those terms before you buy. The River never takes custody: tokens stay in your wallet or in orders you control.
Access requirements and eligibility restrictions apply. See the Base Prospectus and Final Terms
for the jurisdictions and investor categories in which the tokens may be offered.
